Presenting will be Todd Snovel, who serves as the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Commission on LGBTQ Affairs. Recently created by Governor Tom Wolf, it is the only such commission in the entire country.
This session will provide a framework for understanding Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Questioning (LGBTQ) community members and the unique challenges they often face. Come prepared to enter dialogues including topics such as terminology related to our communities, identifying the unique barriers that LGBTQ folks may face in our organizations, schools, workplaces, etc., and ways to create safer and more inclusive environments.
