The Montgomery County LGBT Business Council is hosting its first Cultural Competency Training of 2021.
Hosted by the Bryson Training Institute of The Attic Youth Center and sponsored by Destination Conshohocken, this virtual training seeks to address race, gender, and sexuality diversity and sensitivity in the work place.
Through lecture and Powerpoint, this training will assist participants in acquiring the knowledge, empathy, and skills to understand, support, and build relationships within an increasingly diversifying professional population.
Topics covered will include, but not limited to: individual and organizational strategies for sensitive and effective work, the existing political and cultural context of LGBTQ topics, terms and information regarding sexual orientation and gender identity, and self-awareness of one’s values and their impact on customers and colleagues.
